Based in North Cornwall you will be spoilt for choice for things to do in the area surrounding Widemouth Bay. Picturesque sandy beaches and quaint villages are in abundance in this region.

For an active day out the Milky Way Adventure Park is only 16 miles away and offers fun for all the family. Attractions include some exciting rides and an adventure area for younger children. For more of a countryside treat head for The Big Sheep which is about half an hours drive from the holiday park. Here you can enjoy dog trails, pony rides and lamb feeding amongst other things. If you can spare the time then the local Monkey Sanctuary in nearby Looe is well worth a visit. You will get an insight into the fantastic work undertaken by the team there in promoting the welfare and survival of Monkeys.

If you like to get out and about and explore what North Devon has to offer then cycling is a great way to do that. For the more advanced there is a rewarding route 15 miles away at Torridge with outstanding views of the Upper River Carey Valley. For novices there is an easy route locally called The Granite Way Cycle Route which also offers great scenery as well as wildlife in rural Devon.

For keen gardeners or if you simply have an interest in gardening then you will love the Winsford Walled Garden just 16 miles from Widemouth Bay Caravan Park. You will see a fantastic colourful array of plants and unusual flowers alongside herbaceous borders.

widemouth bay And if relaxing is more your thing then head for one of the gorgeous beaches in the area. We recommend Instow Beach about 35 minutes from the holiday park. The sand is lovely and fine and the beach is popular for activities and beach games such as Volleyball.

Accommodation at Widemouth Bay is a range of attractive and well appointed holiday homes.

All of the holiday homes are well maintained and expertly positioned around the park sleeping from 6 to eight people.

Larger families or groups may wish to take advantage of the large Poppy Gold caravans which are available and sleep up to 8 people. These 12 ft wide holiday homes are stylish and well designed to give a light and spacious feel. They have 3 bedrooms one of which is a double. These holiday homes are also equipped with a DVD player.

The Widemouth Poppy silver is slightly smaller but also sleeps up to eight people and is a good choice for a family on a budget.

The Widemouth Primular Gold caravans are also 12ft wide and provide stylish accommodation for up to six people. These holiday homes are modern in design and have 2 bedrooms of which one is a double. They also have a DVD player or video. The silver Primular also sleeps up to six people and whilst they are more basic, they are still attractive and comfortable.
