Swainswood Park Country Lodges

Swainswood Park Country Lodges are an ideal retreat for couples and families alike.  They have an enviable setting right in the heart of the English National Park and as a result, the scenery is second to none.

It is a particularly suitable for those looking for a quiet and romantic break because of the setting and the quaint picturesque towns and villages in the vicinity.

But families will love it here too with many family attractions and places to go for days out.  At Castle Donington there is a famous race track as well as a museum.  The amazing Alton Towers theme park is within easy reach too with a host of rides and attractions.

If you are the active type then you could head for the indoor ski slope just 15 minutes away which actually features real snow! Ice skating, snow boarding and tobogganing are also available.  And if golf is more your thing then the well known Belfry golf courses are nearby.

For those who just like to get away from it all and get out and about to explore, there are some lovely countryside walks and plenty of wildlife to see.  There is also the option of having a therapeutic spa or a beauty treatment in your lodge upon request.

The lodges themselves have a cosy and romantic feel and you can choose from a luxurious collection of 2 bedroom lodges or 2 bed holiday homes.  Both are perfect for celebrating special occasions.  Accommodation comes with an outdoor hot tub, flat screen TV and loads of other mod cons to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.  Beds will be made up for your arrival and there are terraces so you can sit outside and enjoy a leisurely drink.

For that special and romantic occasion the Woodland View Executive Lodge is recommended which is an exclusive and spacious luxury lodge with one double room and one twin room.  There is a timber deck outside with outdoor hot tub.

Prices for the lodges start from around £327 for a week and £213 for a short break with prices rising depending upon which month of the year you choose to visit.  Christmas and New Year tends to be the most expensive time and you can get some real bargains if you can visit during winter months outside these peak periods.  Prices for the summer months are very reasonable.  Check out the latest deals here.
